Breaking at Capitol Hill - Democrats Erupt After Speaker Johnson's Announcement as the House Passes Bill Reversing ...

WASHINGTON D.C. — In a monumental victory for American energy dominance, the GOP-controlled U.S. House of Representatives just passed the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2025. The sweeping legislation officially undoes former President Joe Biden’s "catastrophic natural gas ban," permanently stripping power away from radical climate activists and cementing President Donald Trump's executive orders into law.

Following the massive vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) delivered a major update, making it clear that the era of bureaucratic overreach is officially over.

UNLEASHING AMERICAN ENERGY

"President Trump and Congressional Republicans are working together to unleash reliable American energy to lower costs for families, support American workers and energy producers, and make sure that America is never again held hostage by radical climate bureaucrats and activists," Johnson announced in a fiery press release.

The passage of the bill guarantees that American liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports will never be banned again. It completely takes the politics out of the permitting process by stripping the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) of its power to approve exports, transferring full control exclusively to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

According to a "quick facts" sheet released by Speaker Johnson’s office, the contrast between the two administrations is staggering:

  • Under Biden: Not a single new LNG export authorization was issued during his four years in office due to a politically motivated ban.

Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX), who introduced the bill, celebrated the win: “Once and for all, my bill fixes the broken, politically weaponized approval process so we can speed up the process of getting permission to export LNG. I urge the Senate to pass it quickly under Senator Scott’s strong leadership.”

THE CRACKDOWN ON CRIME AND IMMIGRATION

While Republicans are securing the grid, they are simultaneously fighting to secure the streets. Speaker Johnson announced that the House will immediately hold highly publicized hearings to investigate the shocking surge in violence against police officers across the nation.

This announcement comes on the heels of an absolute tragedy. Less than a week ago, two National Guard members deployed to Washington, D.C., as part of President Trump’s aggressive anti-crime program were ambushed and shot near the White House.

  • Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom tragically died from her injuries.

  • Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe remains in serious condition but is showing positive signs of recovery.

The suspect? An Afghan national who was allowed into the United States under the Biden administration.

This devastating incident follows a deadly shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in the Dallas area earlier this year. According to a grim FBI report, attacks on police officers reached a stunning 10-year high in 2023, with more than 79,000 attacks reported nationwide.

Despite Democrats repeatedly criticizing the Trump administration’s use of National Guard troops and federal officers to regain control of America's streets, the administration refuses to back down.

In direct response to the tragic murder of Specialist Beckstrom and the wounding of Sgt. Wolfe, Trump administration officials are now getting significantly more aggressive, preparing to forcefully stop both legal and illegal immigration to the United States to protect the homeland.
