Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Horizon

Six months later.

The spring sun rose brightly over the Mediterranean coastline of Amalfi, Italy.

The private Villa Cross sat perched on a steep, picturesque cliffside, surrounded by blooming bougainvillea, lemon groves, and the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the sea below.

On the grand stone terrace overlooking the ocean, Hannah sat at a wrought-iron breakfast table, wearing a flowing sun-dress of pale yellow silk. She looked radiant, healthy, her skin glowing under the warm Italian sun, her dark hair catching the light breeze.

She was reviewing architectural plans for the new free medical clinic she had personally funded in Queens—a state-of-the-art facility named in honor of her late father, offering free dialysis treatment to working-class families.

The terrace doors opened.

Julian stepped out, looking incredibly handsome in a navy linen shirt and white trousers. He walked over, carrying a tray with two cups of fresh espresso and warm Italian pastries.

He set the tray down, sitting across from her, taking her hand into his warm, strong grip.

“The clinic construction is on schedule, my love,” Julian said smoothly, a soft smile touching his sharp lips. “It opens next month.”

Hannah looked down at their joined hands, tracing the platinum wedding band on his finger with her thumb.

“My father would have loved it, Julian,” she whispered, her eyes filled with deep, profound warmth.

“Your father would be proud of the queen you have become,” Julian replied gently, bringing her hand to his lips, pressing a soft kiss against her knuckles.

Far away across the ocean, Trevor Langley was breaking rocks under the scorching sun of a Chilean slate mine, forgotten by the world he had once arrogantly ruled.

Here, high above the pristine Italian sea, Hannah Cross stood unbroken, surrounded by absolute love, unlimited power, and an eternal sanctuary built by the most dangerous man in the world.

She looked out over the endless blue horizon, holding her husband’s hand tightly, knowing that her past was finally buried, and her reign had just begun.
