PART 3 — The Last Performance
The sound of police sirens filled the street.
Red and blue lights flashed through the windows.
Neighbors appeared outside.
Watching.
Waiting.
Victoria looked toward the window.
And something strange happened.
The fear on her face disappeared.
Almost instantly.
Then came the tears.
Perfectly timed.
Perfectly controlled.
She rushed toward the front door.
“My son!”
Her voice cracked loudly.
“Please help me!”
I stared at her.
I couldn’t believe it.
Even now…
she was performing.
The officers entered.
Victoria pointed at Alejandro.
“He attacked me!”
The words shocked everyone.
Alejandro didn’t move.
He just stared at his mother.
The officer looked confused.
“Ma’am, are you saying your son attacked you?”
Victoria nodded through fake tears.
“He came home angry. Elena manipulated him.”
I felt my blood turn cold.
After everything.
She was still lying.
But then Alejandro calmly raised his phone.
“I recorded everything.”
Victoria stopped.
The officer looked at him.
“You have audio?”
Alejandro nodded.
“And more.”
He handed over the documents.
“The forged military notice.”
“The fake medical reports.”
“The attempted threat against my pregnant wife.”
The officer began reading.
The more he saw…
the darker his expression became.
Victoria’s confidence started breaking.
“No.”
She stepped backward.
“This is a misunderstanding.”
But the truth was already out.
