Clara ran toward me as soon as I stepped into the room, her tiny arms outstretched, her big gray-blue eyes sparkling with pure, unadulterated joy.

"Mama!" she squealed happily.

I leaned down, lifting her effortlessly into my arms, pressing a warm, lingering kiss against her soft, rose-scented cheek. She wrapped her tiny arms around my neck, resting her head against my shoulder with absolute, complete trust.

Rowan walked over, holding Julian by the hand, smiling warmly at us.

"Another good day at the office, Partner?" Rowan asked playfully.

"The best," I smiled, looking around the room at the real, true family we had built together from the ashes of a broken world.

Desmond closed his briefcase, standing up to join us by the window. "To the future," he said, raising his water glass in a quiet, meaningful toast.

"To the truth," Rowan added, clinking her glass against his.

I looked down at my daughter, who was looking out the window at the city lights twinkling across the river—a city that was no longer a cage, no longer a place of fear, but a vast, open horizon full of endless possibility.

"To freedom," I whispered gently.
