Part 2 — The Bride Who Wasn’t Going to Marry Him

For the next two weeks, Lily did exactly what Julian expected.

She smiled.

She attended fittings.

She took photographs.

She acted like a happy bride.

And the Sterling family believed they had won.

That was their mistake.

Because while they planned a wedding…

I was building a case.

Every message Julian sent.

Every threat.

Every payment.

Every hidden agreement.

Everything.

I collected it all.

My old contacts started answering again.

Lawyers.

Investigators.

People who knew exactly what kind of man Harrison Sterling was.

And slowly, I discovered something worse.

Julian wasn’t his father’s first monster.

He was just the latest.

Other women had been silenced.

Other families had been threatened.

Other victims had disappeared quietly.

Harrison Sterling had built an empire on fear.

But fear leaves evidence.

And I had found it.

The night before the wedding, Lily came into my room.

She looked exhausted.

“Eleanor?”

I turned.

“What happened?”

She held her phone.

A new message.

From Julian.

My blood froze.

“Tomorrow, you become mine. After that, no one will save you.”

I took the phone.

Then I saw another message.

“Tell your sister to stop digging.”

My eyes narrowed.

“He knows.”

Lily panicked.

“What do we do?”

I handed the phone back.

“We continue.”

“But Eleanor—”

I looked at her.

“No more running.”

She started crying.

“I’m scared.”

I hugged her.

“I know.”

A pause.

“But tomorrow, everyone will finally see who Julian real

ly is.”

The wedding day arrived.

The Sterling estate was filled with powerful guests.

Business owners.

Politicians.

Celebrities.

Everyone wanted to witness the marriage of the year.

Julian stood at the altar in a perfect suit.

Smiling.

Confident.

Certain.

He looked like a man who had already won.

Then the music began.

Everyone turned.

The doors opened.

Lily appeared.

The crowd gasped.

She looked beautiful.

Strong.

Calm.

Julian smiled.

He thought she was walking toward him.

He had no idea.

May you like

She wasn’t walking toward her future.

She was walking toward his downfall.
