Part 3 — The Truth Comes Out

Lily reached the altar.

Julian leaned closer.

“You finally understand.”

She looked at him.

“What?”

“That you belong here.”

The guests smiled.

They thought it was romantic.

They didn’t know Lily was holding a small device hidden in her bouquet.

A recording.

Julian’s own voice.

His threats.

His cruelty.

Everything.

The priest began.

“Before we continue…”

A voice suddenly came from the speakers.

Julian’s voice.

Clear.

Cold.

“You think anyone will believe you?”

The entire room froze.

Julian’s smile disappeared.

The recording continued.

“Your family will lose everything if you leave me.”

Gasps spread through the crowd.

Harrison Sterling stood up.

“What is this?”

I walked forward.

Everyone turned.

Julian stared at me.

“You.”

I smiled.

“Yes.”

He laughed nervously.

“You think you can threaten my family?”

“No.”

I looked at the guests.

“I’m not threatening anyone.”

I pointed to the screen behind the altar.

“I’m showing them the truth.”

The screen turned on.

Documents appeared.

Bank records.

Legal contracts.

Proof.

Years of intimidation.

Years of manipulation.

The room became silent.

Harrison Sterling’s face changed.

Because he knew.

He knew the empire he built was collapsing.

Julian stepped forward.

“You’re lying!”

I looked at him.

“Really?”

I pressed a button.

The next recording played.

His voice.

Talking about Lily.

Talking about how he would break her.

The crowd listened.

No one moved.

Then one woman stepped forward.

A guest.

Someone I didn’t know.

“I believe her.”

Everyone turned.

She looked at Harrison.

“Because he did the same thing to me.”

Another woman stood.

Then another.

The room transformed.

Not a wedding.

May you like

A courtroom.

And Harrison Sterling was the defendant.
