PART 3 — The Hidden Plan

At the hospital, Alexander sat beside his mother’s bed.

Machines quietly beeped.

Evelyn remained unconscious.

The doctors said she was lucky.

But Alexander didn’t feel lucky.

He felt betrayed.

Because while his mother fought to survive…

the woman he almost married had been preparing to destroy his family.

Marcus entered the room.

“Sir.”

Alexander looked up.

“Tell me everything.”

The security chief placed a folder on the table.

“We investigated Victoria’s background.”

Alexander opened it.

His expression slowly changed.

“She lied about everything?”

Marcus nodded.

“Almost everything.”

Victoria Lane wasn’t just a socialite.

She had debts.

Hidden accounts.

And a history of manipulating wealthy men.

Alexander stared at the documents.

“How long?”

“Two years.”

Two years.

That was how long she had been planning.

Then Marcus revealed something worse.

“She wasn’t only after your money.”

Alexander looked up.

“What else?”

Marcus hesitated.

“She wanted control of the company.”

The room went silent.

Alexander remembered every conversation.

Every time Victoria asked about business decisions.

Every time she pushed him to change legal documents.

Every time she said:

“You should let someone else handle your mother.”

His hands tightened.

She wasn’t trying to remove an obstacle.

She was trying to remove the only person who could expose her.

His mother.

A weak voice interrupted his thoughts.

“Alexander…”

He turned.

Evelyn’s eyes slowly opened.

“Mom.”

He grabbed her hand.

“I’m here.”

She looked at him sadly.

“I tried to warn you.”

Tears filled his eyes.

“I should have listened.”

Evelyn squeezed his hand.

“Love can make people blind.”

Alexander lowered his head.

But then he stood.

The sadness disappeared.

Replaced by determination.

“Now she will see what happens when she hurts my family.”
