Chapter 10 - The Family Isabella Could Not Break

Six months later, Khloe gave birth to a healthy daughter.

Marcus stood beside her.

Gabriel waited outside the delivery room.

Elaine brought flowers.

The hospital staff who had cared for Khloe returned quietly.

No gala.

No cameras.

No speeches.

Just family.

Marcus held his daughter.

Khloe watched him.

“What should we call her?”

He smiled.

“Hope.”

Khloe laughed softly.

“Too dramatic.”

“After everything?”

She looked at the baby.

Then nodded.

“Maybe.”

Outside the window, morning light filled the room.

Khloe remembered the locked hospital suite.

The broken crystal.

The cold marble.

The fear.

But she also remembered something else.

The door opening.

Marcus’s voice.

Her uncle arriving.

The camera above the doorway.

The truth.

Isabella had believed one locked door would isolate her.

Instead, it had trapped Isabella with her own choices.

And the camera captured everything.

Khloe looked at her daughter.

Then at Marcus.

“She thought she could take everything.”

Marcus kissed Khloe’s forehead.

“But she didn’t.”

Khloe smiled.

“No.”

She held her daughter closer.

“Because I was never alone.”

And this time, the room was quiet.

May you like

Not the silence of fear.

But the silence of safety.
