Chapter 6 - The Message Nobody Was Supposed to Find
Security searched Isabella’s phone records.
There were messages.
Deleted.
But recovered.
One message had been sent earlier that evening.
Tonight she finally understands who Marcus belongs to.
Another:
Once the pregnancy becomes a problem, everyone will see how unstable she is.
Marcus read the messages.
His face hardened.
Khloe reached for his hand.
“Don’t.”
He looked at her.
“She wanted to hurt you.”
Khloe whispered, “I know.”
“She wanted to hurt our child.”
Khloe closed her eyes.
“I know.”
Marcus stood.
Gabriel blocked the doorway.
“Where are you going?”
Marcus looked at him.
“To speak with Isabella.”
Gabriel shook his head.
“No.”
“Gabriel.”
“You have a wife upstairs.”
Marcus looked toward the examination room.
Gabriel continued.
“Stay where you are needed.”
